«Who dares to teach must never cease to learn»
The story of our school begins in an empty basement room on December 6, 1997: two „students“ were taking their first Taekwondo class. At that time, we trained on a concrete floor with no mirrors and no equipment.
Slowly, the small group grew amongst friends and families. Our common desire and enthusiasm for teaching and learning Taekwondo formed the foundation for our school. Over time, the simple basement room turned into a Dojo with matts, mirrors and more training gear.
After almost 20 years of practicing Taekwondo in the basement Dojo, we finally found this fantastic new location at Bachtelstrasse in Winterthur, which we turned into our new „home“ for the Austin Black Belt Academy of Switzerland.
Special thanks to my teachers Grandmaster Roy Kurban and Master Jennifer Branch for their continuous support and belief over all this time. Particularly, I would like to express my appreciation for always hosting my 1st Dan candidates in a warm-hearted and professional way during their preparation for the demanding Black Belt test in Texas.
